Moro Local Government Area was created out of the Ilorin Native Authority in 1976. It shares boundaries with Oyo and Niger State respectively. The headquarters is located at Bode-Saadu. The Local Government has 17 wards.

Districts: Ipaiye, Lanwa, Ejidongari, Olooru and Malete.

Road Distance: From Ilorin to Bode-Saadu (LGA Headquarters) 85km.

Population: 86,939 (43,890 males, 43,049 females) 1991 census
