Moro Local Government Area was created out of the Ilorin Native Authority in 1976. It shares boundaries with Oyo and Niger State respectively. The headquarters is located at Bode-Saadu. The Local Government has 17 wards.

Districts: Ipaiye, Lanwa, Ejidongari, Olooru and Malete.

Road Distance: From Ilorin to Bode-Saadu (LGA Headquarters) 85km.

Population: 86,939 (43,890 males, 43,049 females) 1991 census

Major Towns: Ejidongari, Olooru, Lanwa, Ipaiya, Jebba, Bode-Saadu, Arobadi, Elemere, Malete.

Important Markets: Oloru, Malete, Elemere, Ipaiya, Bode-Saadu (Cattle Market).

Natural Resources: Yam, Cassava, Corn, Groundnut, Rice.

Mineral Resources: Granite, Talc, Colomite, Tin Stone, Marble, Dolomite, Silica Sand, Foundry.

Major Festivals: Aaron Festival (Shao), Alagbe Acrobatic Dancers.
