The Kwara State government has approved the release of N50 million to 100 graduate trainees in commercial farming.

The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture, Prince Ayo Fagbemi, disclosed this on Wednesday in Ilorin in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He said each of the 100 trainee farmers, who were the beneficiaries of its newly established Youth Farm Training Scheme, would receive N500,000.

Fagbemi said each of them would also be allocated five hectares ofland at Oke-Oyiin, in Ilorin East Local Government Area to start his own farm.
