| KWARA PRESENTS VEHICLES TO TRADITIONAL RULERS |

Kwara State government has presented new official vehicles to first class traditional rulers in the state. Each of the 10 rulers was presented a limousine care and a pick-up pilot vehicle. At the presentation ceremony held at Government House, Ilorin, the governor, Dr Bukola Saraki assured that the gesture will be extended to other categories of traditional rulers in the state soon. He disclosed that a royal chalet being constructed by the government for the traditional rulers to stay while on official duties to the state capital would soon be completed. He said the government has commenced the renovation and rehabilitation of palaces of the first class monarchs to provide them with places of abode befitting their status. Saraki appealed to the traditional rulers to continue to maintain absolute peace and tranquility in their domains. He said such atmosphere would enable his administration to execute its programmes designed to make life meaningful for people of the state. He urged the monarchs to use their exalted positions to advise government both at the state and local government levels on matters relating to security and maintenance of peace. The Governor expressed appreciation to the monarchs for their support for his administration in the past four years and urged them to keep the support “So that we can collectively move the stat to the next level”. He assured that the government would continue to provide the enabling environment and necessary logistic support that will sustain the comfort and status of traditional rulers in the state. |
